The Grade 4 curriculum solidifies many concepts from earlier grades with a weekly 1.5-hour class. In this grade, students construct and understand increasingly complex sentence, review and consolidate their editing, writing, and presentation skills, and demonstrate these skills in team debates. Their knowledge of punctuation, grammar, and sentence structure is deepened, and they are introduced to more technical qualities of the English language. Students have a more sophisticated novels, memory work, and group presentations that build and strengthen their time management, social, and communication skills. Cursive writing, drills, poetry, short stories, treasure hunt and speeches continue to be key components.
